Where is The Clubhouse?

The PCC Clubhouse is in Room G-9 of the Hayward Adult School, at 22100 Princeton Street in Hayward. (This is off A Street near Hwy 880.) The phone number is 510-537-4138. That number is only answered on the days that the clubhouse is open so check the calendar for days and times.

Directions:

On I-880 coming from either direction:

Take the A Street exit east (toward the hills and away from the bay). Drive about .6 miles on A Street. You will cross Santa Clara street and go over an overpass just beyond that. Turn left onto Princeton street at the next traffic signal after crossing the overpass. (You will see a couple of "Hayward Adult School" signs in the median strip just prior to that light.)

After a couple of short blocks on narrow, two lane Princeton, you will note the school buildings on the right. Proceed past them to the far end and turn right on Sunset Boulevard. Proceed almost past all the buildings. Just past the exit from the semi-circular drive, you will find the entrance to the last parking lot on that side of the building. (It is only about .1 mile from Princeton. If you pass the playing field on the right and come to the railroad, you went too far.) Enter that parking lot and proceed to the opening in the fence at the far corner nearest the playing fields.

Cross the newly paved parking area beyond that fence and park near the far end of the gym (the building with the large painted lettering "SUNSET" on the end). The entrance to the clubhouse is through the gate by the first "S" in "SUNSET." Go through the gate and around the corner of the gym and you will see the entrance to room G-9 just to the left of the girls locker room entrance. There is a sign reading "PC Clubhouse" on the door.

On I-580 coming from Pleasanton:

Take the Strobridge exit in Castro Valley. Turn right at the stop sign. Get in the next to the leftmost lane (this is a one way street) and turn left on Castro Valley Boulevard. Go straight ahead under the freeway interchange, cross Foothill Boulevard (you are now on Mattox Road) and turn left on Mission Boulevard. (This is about .8 mile from the turn onto Castro Valley.)

Proceed about .7 miles on Mission and turn right at a traffic signal onto Sunset Boulevard. Continue across the Railroad tracks, and you will see the gymnasium with "SUNSET" painted on the end. Turn left into the entrance of the first parking lot on the left and proceed to the opening in the fence at the far corner nearest the playing fields.

On I-580 coming from Oakland and San Leandro:

Take the Hayward Exit (238) and get into the right lane. Turn right at the first traffic signal onto Mattox Road. Go down the hill about .3 miles and turn left on Mission Boulevard. From this point, follow the instructions in the preceding two paragraphs.
