$ $5,533.92 Checking account
$ $3,336.97 CD
$ $8,870.89 Total

The projector warning light, indicating fewer than 500 hours of remaining use, has come on. The projector is old enough to be unable to meet many current technology demands and so that it makes sense to replace the entire projector rather than the very expensive bulb. Jan presented several options. It was moved, seconded and unanimously approved that up to $1,500 be budgeted for the projector that Jan deems most appropriate to update PCC presentation capabilities.

Secretary - Bayle Emlein:

Nothing special to report.

VP Clubhouse - Sid Jordan:

Sid brought one renewal and one new membership, and also $150 in donations from the Clubhouse.

February 20, Saturday midnight, March Newsletter submission deadline.
March 21, Saturday midnight, April Newsletter submission deadline.

Programs: In February Bayle, will present ZoomWare from AI Squared. And then we will learn about netbooks. Bring your netbook if you're willing to show it off and share information about it so the membership can compare. In March, we will have mini-SIGSs. The Qik social networking program will be invited for April. Would the membership be interested in a demonstration of poker sites?

Fundraiser: Multiple high-capacity USB drives.

VP Special Projects - Bayle Emlein:

The Clubhouse MAR-enabled computer donations on a reduced scale.

Webmaster - Diane George:

Diane has figured out how to enter the APCUG website contest.

Diane has developed a content management system which can be found at pcc.org/joomla152.

Calendar: See the website for the latest updates for changes in SIG meetings.

Unless Hayward Adult School is closed, the Clubhouse has its monthly cookout on the first Saturday of each month.

New Business: Chris is now capable of printing in the newsletters in color. However, such printing would approximately triple printing costs. The EC felt that not enough value would result from the expenditure and it was tabled for future consideration. Readers who want color now are invited to view the .pdf file online at www.pcc.org.

Non-voting Executive Committee participants were announced:

Projector Coordinator: Jan Fagerholm
Webmaster: Diane George
APCUG Rep: Bayle Emlein
Network Coordinator: Paul Cooper
