Old Business:

Southwest APCUG conference and photo contest: there have been questions about how many photos PCC members can submit for the PCC contest. PCC members may submit any number of photographs in each category, but 3 in each category will be submitted by PCC to APCUG.

President - Chuck Horner:

Hayward Adult School (HAS) Tech Center has a $40,00 grant for upgrades and expansion of tech center from Hayward Rotary. Del Parton commented that Hayward Rotary has only donated 5 PCs after promising 50 or so. Grant Choat has submitted his resignation to HAS, so we can expect a change in contacts with HAS.

Executive Vice President - Del Parton:

Del submitted the Clubhouse report for Sid Jordan. (See Clubhouse Report.)

Treasurer - Tom Smith:

Insurance payment is coming up. Tom will review the insurance coverage we need for HAS.

Secretary - Bayle Emlein:

Bayle is at the Alameda County Department of Mental Health Developmental Disabilities Council annual Transition Fair. Jan Fagerholm is taking the minutes.

VP Clubhouse - Sid Jordan:

Report by Del Parton. The Clubhouse will be closed as follows: Mar 22nd and 26th. No closures in April.

VP Marketing - Chuck Horner:

Will e-mail new changes to the PCC brochure he made since last month.

VP Membership - Jan Fagerholm:

Membership Report: Regular – 63; Senior- 45; Family- 4; Student – 08; Total -120

VP Newsletter - Elsie Smith:

Submission schedule:
March 22, Saturday midnight, April Newsletter submission deadline.
April 19, Saturday midnight, May Newsletter submission deadline.

VP Programs - Bruce Hevelin:

We are still seeking a new person for VP Programs. Diane suggests a Genealogy SIG presentation for April - Chuck and Diane will ask Bill George and Carl Webb to do a presentation. May - Web working Services, Dave Whittle. June – pending.

VP Special Projects - Bayle Emlein:

Jan Fagerholm reported on the St. Rose Hospital Rehabilitation Services project. Candidate Qais Habashvara was visited by the PT Specialist Manu Kalia from St. Rose, Bayle Emlein and Jan Fagerholm from PCC. Evaluations were made about the assistive equipment that will be required to allow Qais to work by computer.
A new set of 100 Windows XP Pro licenses has been ordered through the Microsoft MAR program and delivered to the Clubhouse.

MAR totals to date (reported to Microsoft, the Clubhouse is usually a few ahead of them):

Webmaster - Diane George:

May 7th projected start date for new PCC Web site at Network Solutions. PCC is paid up thru May 2009. There is time now to set up e-mail accounts and “name” them, linking forwarding addresses to these for E.C. officers, Board of Directors, and others. Diane is asking for suggestions on what accounts should be set up and what access they should have. She is working on content management that can be managed by officers, SIG leaders and others. New Web site is being worked on.

Calendar:

Passed around, clubhouse closures on Mar. 22nd and 26th.

Fund Raiser: Diane is getting 2 web cameras priced about $25.00 each.

New Business:

Reviewed procedures for E.C. attendance and reporting procedures. We will begin limiting the door prizes to 12 or so to make them more meaningful and manageable. The E.C. is reviewing certificates and plaques of appreciation for volunteers.
